

Both of these characters, I'll admit, would be perfectly capable Presidents. Both would make better Presidents than candidates. I would tend to favor Hillary's policies a little more than Mitt's. But then with Hillary you get Bill in the White House again. While that may be an even better two-for-one Presidency, I'm not sure Hillary would keep Bill busy enough on official duties.
I also think both of these potential presidents feel that they should be President, and both would agree that they should not have to run for it. There is a sense that Mitt wants a draft and Hillary an acclamation.
Remember that the standard for a true non-candidate is a Shermanesque, absolute statement: "If nominated, I will not run. If elected, I will not serve." Until then, they're both in the running.
I just have an odd feeling neither will be the next President of the United States.
